it will be a sorry day when we return to the strip and see any changes to the flamingo.i am sure that means o'sheas will no longer be the poor mans casino,it was always a favorite to be able to stay at the flamingo and run into o'shaes and visit the food court in the rear.i know harrahs will be making elaborate changes, but the saying goes if it's not broke don't fix it.the flamingo is beautiful,we used to stay at harrahs but they became unaffordable in last 7 years so it's been the flamingo for us the past 7 years.guess harrahs will make it another unafdfordable place for us.

This is extremely sad, and quite frankly, I won't have a reason to go into the Flamingo at all anymore. I would make it a point to go to the Flamingo because of the penguins every time I visited Vegas, which is several times every year. That also equates to--I would spend money there. I guess the new management is just not animal friendly? I am stunned. Why would they intentionally eliminate something that thousands of people have come to enjoy and admire, trip after trip, and year after year? It's a sad day for Las Vegas to lose these guys. It's a sad day for the Flamingo. And for those of us tourist types that really love this exhibit, this represents an extremely poor management decision and one that was made without considering the ramifications. Depressing, oh yea....how very sad.

This is extremely disappointing. After dozens of trips to LV, we finally decided to invite my mother-in-law to join us this coming March. We booked Flamingo, and one of the things I was looking forward to was watching her explore the gardens, taking in the flamingos, the pools, and those cool little penquins. Hope some other zoo comes to the rescue, as the hotel must SURELY realize this will disappoint the tourists. :(

I can't believe the penquins are leaving. I have made it a point for years to always have coffe with the penquins when they get fed in the morning. No matter where I stayed in Vegas, that was one morning ritual I always looked forward to. There will be thousands of unhappy people when this gets out to the public.
