  1. Hey podcasting Michelle & Tim,

    Love the podcast!

I am guessing that NHL can put a team in Vegas because of the Oklahoma Thunder model. OKC has a team there because they were successful selling a bunch of million$ sponsorship. Gee who can they sell a bunch of millions sponsorships? Hmmmm who would buy sponsorships in Vegas? The Corporations(in a Robert Deniro Casino voice). If the big casinos buys those millions$ sponsorships, suites for their high rollers and execs, and tickets for their customers, then a team can sustained there. Sports Economics these days the top dollars first not the Joe fan first.

  2. Just listened to most recent show. Two things: if Vegas gets a pro team of any sport you can not gambling in state on them, same with NCAA as well if I remember correct. 2) is about bathrooms at the flamingo. I was there one time in the bathroom with 2 entrances I came out and a older lady was outside clearly looking for someone. I asked if I could help she said her husband went in but never came out. I offered to check for him. I came back out after not finding him. I told her there are 2 doors to that bathroom and I spent the next 15 minutes looking for him. All turned out good we found him. Just some thoughts.

  3. Thanks. Friend of the show @mitzula, who is a Vegas sports book employee, provided some clarification on the Facebook group… “To answer Tim & Michele’s Sports Betting questions from this week’s show. You are able to bet UNLV in Vegas. Gaming allowed betting on UNLV Games in 2001 which reversed their 40 year ban on betting on Nevada Sports. You are unable to bet on the Kings at the Palms and the Celitcs at Caesars Properties because the Maloofs & Gary Loveman own parts of the teams and it’s deemed a conflict of interest by gaming. Not that Gary’s running in at the half telling the Celitcs they need to win by at least 5 points.”
