I’ve been listening to your podcasts and have to say that I’ve really enjoyed them. I’ve been working on my own podcast and was wondering if you could answer the following two questions:
1.) The infamous podcasting question: “What is your setup?”
2.) What service are you using for your voicemail line? Are you using J2 (and if so, how did you get to pick a custom phone number)?
Thanks and keep up the good work.
I’d just like to say how much I love your podcasts. I live in the UK and my husband and I are massive fans of Vegas. We’re going again in May (our 6th visit on 6 years). Listening to your broadcasts has got us really vibed up and we’re planning all the stuff we’re going to do when we get there.
Cheers Tim.
Best regards
Alison
Thanks for the nice comments, Alison and Mike. I should have a new show posted tomorrow night.
My setup consists of a $18 Labtec microphone (it’s a piece of crap, but it works) wired into a G4 through Griffin Technology’s iMic. I’m running audio through Line In and Soundflowerbed into Garageband.
After recording my voice track, I do a little editing, apply a couple effects to boost the levels, add the music tracks and save to iTunes where I convert to MP3 and designate the ID3 tags.
For the comment line, I use K7 (www.k7.net), which allows you to search for specific vanity numbers. It’s a nice touch.
Thanks again!
