Love LOVE? Get the Soundtrack

Apple Corps and EMI Music announced today the release on Nov. 20 of The Beatles LOVE album, featuring the music from the Las Vegas show of the same name. The album will be released on CD and DVD, with the DVD version containing a the album in surround sound with three extra minutes of music. This show and the music have been getting rave reviews, and The Beatles have a few fans, so this CD will probably sell a few copies.

  1. I will definitely buy the DVD, or at least put it on my Amazon Wish List (funny how new Beatles and Elvis product always seems to come out a month before Christmas). It was an amazing show.

  2. I am going to see it on the 29th of October.

I read an article in Highroller magazine that said

“For true Beatles fans, the show has full songs and partial songs, but the song list will not be released to the public”.

I guess money can buy LOVE after all.

  3. ~Warning: Might contain LOVE spoilers but no more than your Mirage TV does~

Saw the show last Saturday night. Take away the music (I know that is saying a lot) and Mystere was better. It was good but a little too X-Games-ish for my taste. They may have said the song list will not be released because I think many parts and mash-ups were used that may not be on a soundtrack. We’ll see.

That being said, I just went out and bought Revolver and images of bricks scattering, a Tattooed Shabba-Doo, Lucy in the Sky, dancing galoshes, the flying ‘Something’ women and a pregnant Cirquette seem to be staying with me the most. At least these new images can now replace the fat baby clown and homo-erotic strongmen from Mystere in my head. Whew…finally!!

  4. Speedy:

You dont’ sound like a Cyrc fan.

Does your wife drag you there. 🙂

Going next Sunday the 29th. Will give my opinion.

  5. Dan,

I am not a huge Cirq fan (only seen Mystere and Love) but I stand by my comments.

And the wife didn’t drag me. If anything I draggged her. In fact, the fab four is before her time. She had never heard Octopus’s Garden but loved it.

Re-read my comments after you see it and then we’ll talk. Have fun at the show.

  6. Saw the show on the very first preview night back in May. It is the only cirque show I have seen so I can’t compare but I was blown away by it. The music was the main draw for me. Highly recommeded.

  7. Some of the best songs I remember from the show aren’t even on the cd.

Where is Octopus’s Garden? How about Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds?
