  1. Regarding the “Pawn Stars” autograph sessions….I decided to stop by the store on a recent trip, hoping to meet any of the guys. I hung out in the store for a bit and then inquired about meeting them. I was told to come back the next day and try again. So, I came back the next day, and hung out in the store for awhile. Apparently, they rarely come out into the public area. At one point, they announced that they would be “closing”, so they could do some filming. They were not letting any more people in, and were clearing the store out. Before I left, I inquired again about meeting them, and was basically told “No”. I have not been back, and see no reason to return.

  2. Bill from Atlanta’s call made me physically ill.
It was the antithesis of what happens to me when I go to Vegas.
I lose the vast majority of my wagers. Certainly have never even had 2 significant “wins” in a row, such as $1,250 video poker payoff, walk to a slot machine and win $940 more.
Definitely never won so much money that the casino questioned if the chips I was cashing in were chips that I had really won or if I had counterfeited them or something.
I remember every last thing that I ate.
The only free thing/comp I’ve ever received was a drink while playing machines/tables.
Casino employees have never approached me to give me something.
Don’t get me wrong, I usually have fun, but for me………
    Vegas Just Keeps On Takin.

  3. One other thing to keep in mind re: Wi-Fi is that smartphone radios have different power draws.

An iOS or Android device on Wi-Fi will last longer on its battery than when on a 3G/LTE connection so if you’re in an area that has Wi-Fi, it’s one way to save your battery. This is especially true if you’re in an area with poor cellular service because in that case, the device has to increase power to the radios to maintain that connection.
