Bourbon Street Falls Tonight?

The Las Vegas Advisor is reporting that Bourbon Street is being imploded tonight at 2 a.m. Not much advance notice from owner Harrahs, but I’m sure we’ll all be seeing video on the news and all over the Web tomorrow.

Update: The Bourbon Street implosion blurb has disappeared from the LVA site, so maybe it’s not happening tonight after all.

You know how I know you have a gambling problem? Because you’d wager on how long the new show at the Stardust will run. By the way, I’m setting the line at two weeks.

In this edition of the original Las Vegas podcast:

  • Hooters Casino sausage fest
  • Rolling Stone Casino rumors
  • Monorail extension plans
  • Las Vegas sports books: Barbary Coast, Ballys, Bellagio, Caesars Palace, Las Vegas Hilton, Imperial Palace, Stardust, Aladdin, New York New York
  • You know how I know you have a gambling problem? (A tribute to “The 40-Year-Old Virgin”)
  • Michele takes the show into the toilet
  • Princess Tenko
  • Sick and Sore by Sorry About Dresden

  • Direct download of the podcast: Five Hundy By Midnight 2/11/06 (37:58 min, 34.9 MB) or subscribe.

    Welcome Boston Globe Readers

Much to our surprise, Five Hundy by Midnight was mentioned in a travel column in Sunday’s Boston Globe. Welcome to our new listeners. We’ll be recording a new show as soon as we both recover from the nasty cold/flu thing that has taken up residence here.
