  1. I don’t want to sway your decision about Guy Fieri’s place. Can you clarify your double standard of dining at Gordon Ramsay joint though? He may not be a douche. He is probably more of a dick. Or do you consider Gordon to be cool?

My opinion is that I want a chef that is passionate about food and flavor. Maybe it’s just me that thinks a hot and sweaty Brit hovering over my plate is not appealing.

  2. I really appreciate how are articulate you both are on the show. Being clear, concise and entertaining is a gift.

    Thanks, Rick D

  3. Daidy:

Good question. We’ll address that on the next podcast as part of our review of Guy’s place. That’s right… we took one for the team and dined at Flavortown. We have plenty to say about the experience.

  4. Tim, That was a fair explanation on the podcast. I am not a fan of Guy although I cut him a little slack as a UNLV grad. On the other side of the fence I do have a strong dislike for Gordon based on my first note. I can not stand a lot of various items per dish, especially chopped up. The finer it is chopped up, the less it appeals to me. Therefore I am not a fan of sushi, pizza, nachos, omelets, or most asian dishes. Give me the basics and I’ll cut them and mix them on the plate as I see fit.

I may not like a trip to Flavortown or Burgr. I don’t like a lot of crap on my burgers either. I often take the lettuce, tomato, and onion off of a burger to make a mini-salad. Maybe I could try one of Gordon’s other places in the future.
