  1. Just returned from Vegas two days ago, and took advantage of the $100 free play on losses at the Plaza that you mention in today’s show. They will refund half of your loss within the first 24 hours after getting your card, and the 2nd half between 30 days and 6 months. We only played maybe two hours and they gave us our first installment right then.

Thanks for all the great Vegas tips, they make our visits more enjoyable.

  2. By the way — unless Tim laces his shoes in some unique way, he wears shoes with bows. What is he? A nine year old girl?

  3. For the death march I would recommend just going from bar to bar in the Cosmopolitan as an alternative to the 5 mile hike up the strip that will have you stopping at some less than appealing bars at some of the less than desirable casinos.

The Cosmo has, what, 7 or 8 bars not counting the bars in the restaurants. That should keep you busy for a good part of the day. I guess you could do the bar to bar thing in any of the larger casino resorts but I just think the bars and the bartenders at Cosmo are a cut above all the others in Las Vegas.

A few years ago my brother and I did an east side march up the strip from MGM to Wynncore hitting 14 casinos and that was enough, more than enough actually. The next days hangover was brutal. We didn’t heed the water advice. A drink in the casino and a water in between some of them would have made for a better next day, I think.

  4. On the subject of where at MBay to begin a Death March, and what to order, I would recommend the Jalisco Mule at Border Grill.

An alternate plan would involve two of them, followed by the ceviche trio and one more cocktail. At this point, the idea of a Vegas Strip Death March will seem far too daunting, and one might even avoid spending the following day in abject pain.

    Anyway, it’s an option.

  5. Now that I’ve been listening a while…seems like we need an FAQ document/web page.

    What is the $20 trick?
How do you do the $20 trick?
What is your favorite bar by property?
    How great is Absinthe?
